Far Cry 5 Trailer and Screenshots Released

Untitled

Ubisoft has just revealed Far Cry 5 with several listings on Amazon.com and other sites, as well as uploading the official trailer after some recent teaser trailers surfaced online.
Above is the official cover art for the new game which is set in Montana and has a rural American theme.

Far Cry 5 will depart from shooting up tropical islands and exotic locations run by madmen, and will pit you against the new antagonists- a mad preacher and his growing militia/cult in fictional Hope County.

Lots of details were announced at a press event in New York where developers gave insight on several game mechanics and the new option to play as a male or female character, something they were very close to doing for previous titles, especially Far Cry 3 which Far Cry 4's Hutchinson mentioned at E3 2013.
In Far Cry 5 you play as a Junior Deputy in the police force, over the course of the game you'll be working with/building up a resistance to the cult/militia- but how you wind up in Hope County is a secret Ubisoft wants to keep for now.

Also, you can fly planes.

Kotaku has delved in a bit deeper to further details, check out their post here.
